Andrew Babson

Andrew Babson

 

Andrew Babson, PhD, is an incumbent seeking a second term on the RTSD. By profession he is a college professor and researcher. He is a Senior Research Affiliate and Co-Founder of the Global Possibility Network based at the University of Pennsylvania. Since 2012 he has also served as a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education and Adjunct Associate Professor at Temple University College of Education and Human Development. He holds a PhD from the University of Michigan and an MSc from the London School of Economics & Political Science. Andrew has published and presented his research on South African youth in national and international venues. Andrew and his wife Emily moved to Radnor in 2015 for all that Radnor offers as a community, but the quality of the schools was a paramount consideration. Their two children, Grant and Isabel, attend Radnor Elementary.

While on the Board, Andrew has served on the Facilities and Policy Committees, and Vice Chair of the Curriculum and Chair of the Government Relations and Communications Committees. He has served as board liaison to the PSBA, NSBA, and the township Parks and Recreation board

 

 

 

Sarah Dunn

Sarah Dunn

Sarah Dunn is seeking a second term on the RTSD School Board. During her tenure, Sarah has served on the Curriculum (2018-current), Finance (2018-2020), Facilities (2019-current) and Government Relations and Communications (2019) Committees. In 2019, she was Vice Chair of the Finance Committee. As Chair of the Facilities Committee since 2020, she has championed the Radnor High School Accessibility and Wellness Project which will provide much-needed infrastructure updates, additional classrooms, and improved athletic facilities. Sarah serves as board liaison to Radnor PAGE and the Township’s Parks and Recreation Board. As a parent, she continues to volunteer for school musicals and the RHS Band.
Sarah has practiced corporate law for almost 20 years. She is currently Vice President, Corporate Counsel for Allied Universal. Her in-house counsel experience has included working for Arkema, West Pharmaceuticals and Aramark’s healthcare and education divisions. She also worked as a corporate and securities attorney with Pepper Hamilton LLP.

The product of public and private education, Sarah attended public schools in the Pittsburgh suburbs and Lower Merion as well as The Shipley School. She holds a J.D. from Columbia University and a B.A. in History, summa cum laude, from Amherst College. Sarah and her husband, Michael, have lived in Radnor Township for 18 years, and are the proud parents of Radnor High School sophomore and a Radnor Middle School 7th grader. Sarah is passionate about the wonderful education her children have received in Radnor since Kindergarten and wants to ensure this opportunity is available for future generations.

Amy Goldman

Amy Goldman and her husband Jim live in Villanova and are the parents of a college sophomore and a senior at The Haverford School. Over the past 12 years, Amy has held volunteer leadership positions focused on education and community. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Radnor Educational Foundation, the DELTA Organization (Districts Educating and Learning Through the Arts) and Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El. She has also been a member of the Radnor Township School District Strategic Planning Committee and The Haverford School Leadership Council. Amy has also served as President of the Radnor Middle School PTO, as Chairperson for Radnor Township School District PTO/PTSA District Wide Initiatives and Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El’s Early Childhood Center. Earlier in her career, she worked as an account executive in television advertising sales, most recently for WPVI-TV/6ABC. Amy holds a B.A. in History from the University of Pennsylvania.

 

 

Lydia Solomon

Lydia Solomon

Lydia T. Solomon is in her twelfth year of service on the Radnor Township School Board and is seeking re-election for the fourth time. Lydia has a B.S. from Cornell University and a M.S. from the University of California, both in Economics. In addition, she holds a M.A. Specialist Degree in School Psychology from Immaculata University. She has worked as a school psychologist for several years at the DCIU and has been employed as a college professor teaching in the Education Department at Eastern University. Ms. Solomon has been the PTO President for elementary, middle, and high school levels in Radnor. Her three children who are all Radnor graduates. While on the Board, she has served as the Board President, Board Vice President, Chair and Vice Chair of the Curriculum Committee, the Government Relations Committee, the Policy Committee, and the Facilities Committee. In addition, she has served as the Board Representative to the Delaware County Community College Liaison Board. a Board Member to the Delaware County Intermediate Unit and a representative to the Parent-Teacher Organization Coordinating Council.

Lydia states, “I am extremely proud of the work we have accomplished since I joined the Radnor School Board twelve years ago. Our financial situation is sound due to painstaking attention to all expenditures. I have participated in the hiring of almost all of our administrators and have focused on restoring an emphasis to innovative curriculum and instruction, such as Full-Day Kindergarten. My focus continues to be providing the best educational experience to every Radnor student at the best price.” Lydia serves as a champion for all students, while balancing a responsibility to the taxpayer to stay fiscally smart. She believes the best educational outcome can be achieved through open and transparent dialogue with all stakeholders to come up with a win-win solution. Ms. Solomon is honored to serve the community this way.

Susan Stern

Susan Stern

Susan Stern is seeking her third term on the Radnor School Board. In her first term on the Board, Radnor implemented the area’s first public school full-day kindergarten program and hired Ken Batchelor as Superintendent. She has served on the Facilities, Finance, and Policy Committees. Susan has spent the last four years in leadership, the first as Vice President and the last three as President. Under Susan’s leadership, the District has undertaken groundbreaking initiatives including: the “Later Start Time” at Radnor High School, a strategic planning process to address capital improvements throughout the District and the long-term commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. These projects are all in the early stages and must be supported by the Board in order to address the needs of those impacted. Most recently, she led the Board in approving a transformative Accessibility and Wellness Project at Radnor High School. The improvements to the campus and building are centered on an inclusive design for all, with enhanced facilities that will benefit not only students but the community at large.

Susan has volunteered in many capacities over the years: as a founding Board Member and Treasurer for Skunk Hollow Community Garden, eight years as a Member of the Radnor Planning Commission, Treasurer for Radnor-Wayne Little League and Leader of Radnor Cub Scout Pack 19. Susan now serves as one of the organizers for SouthWaynePorchFest. She resides in Wayne and has three grown children; her two sons are Radnor graduates.

Susan has invested twenty years in Radnor and believes in our community. Her time as a volunteer has been tested as never before this year, leading the Board through the COVID-19 pandemic. The critical role our schools play in educating and supporting our students and families has never before been so evident. We must maintain Radnor’s outstanding educational opportunities, address the learning impacts that have arisen this year, yet also continue to move forward on all our initiatives. These tasks require a steady hand, experience, fortitude and commitment to the values of public education. Susan will continue to fulfill those needs, as she has done for the last eight years.

JEFF JUBELIRER
 
 
 

Jeff Jubelirer, Vice President at Bellevue Communications, is widely recognized as one of the top corporate communications and public relations strategists in Greater Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Perhaps best known for his unparalleled expertise in issue & crisis management and public policy advocacy, Jeff is a “go to” media and political analyst for local media outlets. In addition, Jeff is a regular panelist on 6abc’s venerable weekly public affairs show, “Inside Story.”

 
 

Jeff is the chief architect behind the development and execution of the strategic communications, media & community relations and crisis management issues for his clients, who constitute many of the state’s most well-known businesses, executives, institutions and non-profit organizations.

 
 

In 2016, Jeff was inducted into the Philadelphia Public Relations Association Hall of Fame. In addition, in 2017 and 2018 he was named to City & State PA’s “Power 100,” as one of the regions “40 under 40” by the Philadelphia Business Journal and recognized as one of “22 People to Watch” by Philadelphia Magazine. In May 2012 Jeff received the prestigious national Daniel Ginsberg Award for his exemplary leadership on behalf of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

 
 

Jeff is also an adjunct professor teaching public relations at Villanova University. He serves on the Boards of Eluna Network (formerly The Moyer Foundation) and the Department of Political Science Board of Visitors at his undergraduate alma mater, Penn State University.

 
 

Jeff received his B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University and holds dual master’s degrees in Integrated Marketing Communication and Political Science from Northwestern University.

 
 

Jeff and his wife, Tracey, a pediatric oncologist with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, have lived in Radnor for 12 years and are the proud parents of two daughters who respectively attend Radnor Middle School and Radnor Elementary School. In addition, Jeff is a volunteer assistant coach for his daughter’s 7th grade Radnor Youth Basketball team.

NANCY MONAHAN
 
 
 

Nancy Monahan has a B.A. from Dickinson College in Policy & Management Studies and a M.B.A. from New York University in Marketing.  She has over 15 years of product and strategic marketing experience working in the healthcare industry, including Johnson & Johnson, Dermik Laboratories and BD.  She has also served as an Adjunct Professor in Marketing at Eastern University.  She is currently a stay-at-home parent.

 
 

In addition to raising and spending time with her family, Nancy is a member of the Board of Trustees at the Radnor Memorial Library.  She volunteers at her church as a Co-Chair for the IHN-Main Line Network, helping homeless families.   She is very active with the schools, having served multiple PTO Co-Chair roles, including the annual Radnor Speaker Series in partnership with The Agnes Irwin School.

 
 

Nancy is a strong advocate of public education, having attended public school in the Suffern Central School District, located in the metro New York area.  Her parents were both public school educators, serving as a school librarian and an assistant superintendent of schools.

 
 

Nancy and her husband, Ed, have lived in Radnor for 17 years and are proud parents of a 6th and 7th grader who attend Radnor Middle School.

BRADLEY MOORE
 
 
 

Bradley Moore attended Radnor public schools for thirteen years and graduated from RHS with the Class of 1996.  He credits his personal and professional successes to the love and hard work of his parents and to the excellent educational foundation he received as a Radnor student.  With two children now attending Radnor Elementary School and another expected to join them, Bradley is committed to ensuring the long-term success of Radnor’s schools not just for his own children, but for the benefit of everyone in our community.

 
 

In his career as a lawyer Bradley has practiced as a litigator, served for several years as an attorney for the federal judiciary, and worked in a university general counsel’s office.  Bradley prepared for his legal career at the University of Michigan Law School, and also obtained Master of Bioethics and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.  Before law school, Bradley worked as a high school science teacher in Philadelphia and served as a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs in New York City.

 
 

Bradley and his wife, Katherine, a professor of psychology at Arcadia University, live in the Conestoga Village neighborhood in Rosemont.  Bradley’s volunteer efforts in the community include roles on the executive board of the RES PTO, as the education liaison of the League of Women Voters of Radnor Township, on the board of governors of the Radnor High School Scholarship Fund, and as a member of the Garrett Hill Parade Committee.  Bradley also previously served on the Citizens Advisory Committee for the Radnor Township School District and as an Institutional Review Board member for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  For fun, Bradley acts in community theater productions throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.  His kids like performing, too.

LIZ DUFFY
 
 
 

Liz Duffy is a twenty-year resident of Saint Davids. She and her husband, Kevin, have four
children and feel incredibly lucky to have landed in Radnor Township to raise and educate their
family. Their daughter is a 2017 graduate of Radnor High School and their three boys are
currently in 12th, 8th and 5th grades, giving her the unique perspective and privilege of proximity to all levels of the Radnor educational experience: elementary, middle and high school.

 
 

Liz holds a BA in Economics from Boston College, where she graduated with honors. After over
15 years as an advertising and marketing professional working on consumer goods,
pharmaceuticals, financial services and internet start-ups in both Manhattan and Philadelphia,
Liz is currently a stay-at-home parent. She is an active volunteer in the community, including
serving as a committee head for Radnor’s Post Prom in 2017 and 2019, teaching nine years of
religious education, and supporting the many activities of her children. After the 2018 Parkland
shooting, Liz became a founder of Radnor Residents for Gun Safety. Radnor Residents For
Gun Safety is a non-partisan group that has worked with the Radnor Police Department and
other local government officials to advocate for programs and policies to make our schools and
community safer.

Liz brings an objective voice and a passion for educational excellence for all students. She is a
firm supporter of public education, and now hopes to give back to Radnor Schools as a
dedicated and informed school board member. To build on the success of Radnor Schools, Liz
will supplement the School Board with engagement, objectivity, partnership, and an overarching commitment to educational excellence and fiscal responsibility.

Lisa Borowski

4th Ward Commissioner

Lisa Borowski is a 1984 graduate of Radnor High School and holds a B.S. in Communications from Drexel University. Currently, she is Manager, Development Communications for Einstein Healthcare Network.

Actively involved in the community, Lisa was a Board Director for Radnor Township School District from 2011-2015 serving as Vice President and in board leadership roles which included Chair of the Facilities and Policy Committees, and Co-Chair of the Government Relations & Communications Committee. During her tenure, Radnor Township became the first Main Line school district to implement a full-day kindergarten program and complete major renovations and improvements at three schools. Additionally, she served three times as a member of the district’s Strategic Planning Committee. She served for eight years as a member of the Board of Directors for the Radnor Educational Foundation, four were spent as a member of the Executive Committee and served as Chair of the Grants Committee. Lisa has also served as President for the Ithan Elementary and Radnor Middle School Parent-Teacher Organizations and is a founding member of the Radnor Alumni Council.

She is a member of the Radnor Democrats, the Radnor League of Women Voters and the Radnor Conservancy. Professionally she is a member of the Public Relations Society of America. Lisa most recently worked for the Philadelphia Police Foundation helping to raise funds to support equipment and programs to benefit the men and women of the Philadelphia Police Department and to support initiatives not included in the general operating budget. While serving as Board Operations Manager for the Foundation, Lisa was instrumental in helping to raise and manage funds to reinstate the Mounted Police Unit.

She and her husband, Mark, and their two sons, Ryan and Justin, have lived in Radnor since 2004. Her son, Ryan, is a 2016 graduate of Radnor High School and a member of the class of 2020 at the University of Scranton, her son, Justin, is a senior at Radnor High School. Lisa’s parents, Frank and Kathy Cianciulli, still reside in Radnor’s 5th Ward and her sister, Lori Moffa and her family, also reside in 5th Ward. She is honored to have been elected to represent Radnor’s 4th Ward in 2017.

Sean Farhy

7th Ward Commissioner

Sean Farhy has lived on the Main Line all his life and in Ward 7 for the past 16 years. He is the husband to his beautiful wife Carrie, and he has two children, Jackson and Isaac. Prior to becoming a small business owner, Sean worked in the financial services industry for 15 years as an adviser, options trader, and securities analyst. He is a graduate of University of Delaware and received his MBA from Drexel University in 2007. In his free time, you may be able to catch him coaching his older son’s Little League game, fishing with his dad, or at a swim meet.

 

Jack Larkin

1st Ward Commissioner

John “Jack” Larkin is an attorney and partner at Gawthrop Greenwood, PC, where he works in the firm’s Litigation Department. Jack focuses his practice on municipal and corporate litigation. He is a member and former chair of the American Red Cross Leadership Board. His wife, Bobbie Nenno Larkin, is a Wealth Advisor at the Glenmede Trust Company, and their six-month-old daughter Margaret recently started daycare at Les Petits Cherubs at Bolingbroke Mansion. Jack and his wife are both conservatory violinists, and are members of St. Katharine of Siena Parish in Wayne. Prior to joining Gawthrop Greenwood, Jack was an appellate litigator in the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, where he appeared regularly before the Pennsylvania Superior Court, and periodically handled appeals to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He continues his appellate practice today, civilly, before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and Pennsylvania’s Superior and Commonwealth Courts. Jack’s published works have appeared in law journals at the Georgetown University School of Law, Vanderbilt Law School, the University of Florida Law School, and the American Journal of Trial Advocacy, as well as in the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Bar Quarterly and At Issue publications. Jack is an alumnus of Oberlin College, where he graduated with honors. While at Villanova Law School he received the Pennsylvania Environmental Law Forum scholarship and was a Dean’s Merit Scholar. He has also received the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers’ Association’s James J. Mandarino Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy. He was named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine, and a “Top Lawyer” by Main Line Today in 2014-through-2017.

Moira Mulroney

5th Ward Commissioner

Moira Mulroney is the 5th Ward Commissioner on the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners. She brings to the role a life spent in community service and relationship building. Moira is an advocate for responsible government and civic engagement. She believes those elected to office are have the duty to serve as the eyes, ears and voices of their constituents. She will be focused on issues facing our community, such as: fiscal responsibility and transparency; traffic control and streets management; residential and business growth respectful of Radnor’s community and culture; and funding for our schools and infrastructure. Moira will use her background as a consensus builder to bring civility to public discourse with a priority placed upon bipartisanship.

A recognized nonprofit leader, Moira is the Director of Development & Communications for the Support Center for Child Advocates (Child Advocates), Philadelphia’s legal aid and social services agency serving abused and neglected children. She oversees a staff of six fundraisers and marketing professionals to bolster awareness of the mission and to raise all charitable dollars for the agency’s $4.5 million operating budget. She is often asked to speak on issues of nonprofit management and effective fundraising methods, and in 2016, was recognized with the SmartCEO Magazine’s Executive Management Award. Moira also represents a child client as a Child Advocates Volunteer Attorney.

Moira’s commitment to public service began right out of college working for an Illinois state legislator where she managed constituent services for residents in Chicago’s Southside and learned the power of good advocacy and the importance of building trusting professional relationships. In 1995, she moved to the area to begin her studies at Villanova Law School (’98); she was hired upon graduation by Philadelphia DA Lynne Abraham. For more than 7 years she served as an Assistant District Attorney in the boutique Legislation Unit where she developed state and local legislative strategies to pass sensible crime laws in the Commonwealth, working on issues such as youth violence reduction, gun control, child abuse and invasion of privacy. She also developed the office’s first formal grants program raising $4.5 million annually and advised the District Attorney and staff on crime laws, crime prevention initiatives, and law enforcement policy.

Moira later translated her experience to the nonprofit sector, first as the Director of Grants at the Philadelphia Zoo, then as the Director of Philanthropic Giving at WXPN Public Radio, responsible for raising more than $6 million annually at each institution.

Moira’s connection to Radnor began 30 years ago when her parents moved into the old William Thomas Toll House on Lancaster Avenue in Rosemont and her father became the director of the Graduate Tax LLM Program at Villanova Law School. In 2009, she moved to Bryn Mawr with her husband, her stepson (Radnor ’16) and their rescue dogs. Moira was a Board member at the William Way LGBT Community Center. For fun, Moira plays the cello and rides a 1979 BMW motorcycle, when it’s not broken down.

Damien R Enderle

3rd Ward Commissioner

Damien Enderle grew up in Radnor’s 3rd Ward on Meadowbrook Circle in St. Davids, where he played football and was active in theatre at Radnor High School (class of ’85). With his parents, Damien raised ducks and rabbits on Ithan Creek.

Following graduation from Marquette’s School of Journalism, Damien worked in public relations and marketing in Washington, DC for 20+ years, managing accounts including the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA), Office of the First Lady, and the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA).

Today, Damien is a business development and marketing executive with a proven track record of strengthening brand and customer relationships for Big4 global accounting and consulting firms. Currently, he is a senior marketing manager with a Big4 firm and is a member of the tax marketing and communications leadership team.

Damien, his wife Lisa, and their two daughters returned to Radnor in 2012, and live on Midland Avenue, four short blocks from his childhood home. Both daughters attend Radnor High School and compete in crew and lacrosse.

Damien is a volunteer board member, firefighter and recruiting committee chairman for the Radnor Fire Company of Wayne. He has earned certifications in Fire 1, National Fire ProBoard, Vehicle Rescue Operations, Hazardous Materials Response, and Emergency Vehicle Operations.  Damien operates with Radnor Fire Company crews responding to fire, rescue and emergency situations throughout the Radnor and Tredyffrin-Easton, Pa. areas.

Previously, Damien was a member of the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Marketing Advisory Committee, a member of the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., and has held board positions with the Legal Marketing Association (LMA), the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and DMAX Foundation.

Why Damien ran for the Radnor Board of Commissioners:

  • To help bring sensible, cost-effective solutions – both short and long-term — to the storm water issues facing Radnor Township.
  • Super Wawa! Traffic on Lancaster, Aberdeen and Midland will increase exponentially due to the new, proposed Super Wawa. Noise and light pollution will also be a factor. We need sensible solutions and agreements with Wawa, and Radnor Township needs to hold them accountable.
  • Sewer line replacement in South Wayne. Where does this stand? I have no idea following the initial meetings over one year ago. But this needs to happen, and we don’t need more studies. These lines are over 100 years old. Let’s get moving!
